Food Fallacies - 2 Revealing Truths

Food Fallacies are very common at this time and age.

Are you confused with the varying information about which foods are really good or bad for you?

I used to be as well - In fact, I totally leave out the foods that were branded as "unhealthy" or "bad" from my diet until I learned the truth about them!

I have reaped the benefits of being well informed about food and so can you!

Did you know that information based on hearsay when passed on to more and more people turns into a recognized truth even if they are flawed to begin with?

Food fallacies are not an exception so you need to find out as much as you can in order to fully benefit from what you eat.

Start with these two food fallacies and never look back.

"You should avoid salt because it causes high blood pressure" -Researches reveal that low potassium intake has the same repercussions on your blood pressure as high sodium consumption does. So it all boils down to a balance between the two minerals. Eat up on potassium rich foods like bananas and broccoli whether you suffer from high blood pressure or not and still be able to enjoy salt whenever you can.

"Sweet potatoes are better than its white counterpart" - Both sweet and white potatoes possess nutritional qualities that doesn't necessarily make one stand out from the other. It is a matter of the form in which we eat them that's important. A baked potato is of course a wiser choice than its fried opposite. Be conscious of how your food is cooked and prepared.

It is better to be safe than sorry when it comes our health. Doing further research on topics that we are curious about makes a less misinformed public. We shouldn't be making second guesses about our health and with the food we eat. A gold mine of food facts can be found at http://bestweightlosshq.com
